Welcome to the web site of the Aberdyfi Advertising & Improvements Committee

AA&I Committee help to finance events, projects and maintenance in the village of Aberdyfi on the west coast of Wales. 
We are a not for profit organisation, run by unpaid volunteers, all with a passion for our lovely village.  We discuss and evaluate all requests for donations but always ensure that no individual or business profits from the funding, it must be for a purpose that benefits everyone.

No more standing in the rain. AA&I part financed the purchase and installation of the Bus Stop near Neuadd Dyfi

Over the Christmas season, AA&I pay for and install the Christmas Tree and lights on Wharf Gardens.
Fire Engine

The Staff at the Fire Station in the village purchased this iconic machine, the original fire tender from the village. AA&I paid for it's transportation back to the village and its storage.

The seasonal decorative lights that brighten the square and their installation each year is paid for by AA&I
Neuadd Dyfi
Neuadd Dyfi
"Centre of Culture", Neuadd Dyfi is the village hall. It is used by a wide vaiety of groups and presents music and drama on stage. It is run by a charity for the benefit of the village, AA&I help by donating annually to its upkeep and maintenance.

This is the foot bridge below the Outward Bound Centre, linking to Roman Road. The original timber bridge was declared unsafe several years ago and funding was requested towards a replacement. The costs were covered by joint contribultions from Outward Bound, FLAG, Gwynedd Council, Aberdyfi Community Council and AA&I.

The pedestrian path under the railway lines used to be a dark and drab area with plain concrete walls. AA&I sponsored a local artist Sean Chambers to repaint the entire tunnel with local scenes, making it not only much more pleasant to use but a village attraction too!
Village Clock
Village Clock
Central to the village is the clock. It requires annual maintenance and cleaning for which AA&I make all the payments.
